HeartwormContrary to popular belief there is heartworm in our area. According to petsandparasites.org, "heartworm disease has been diagnosed in every U.S. state- even in climates that are considered unfavorable to the proliferation of mosquitoes, the insects that spread heartworm". It is important to have your dog tested every year and to keep them on a preventative.
